Bonfire Burritos
Brotha & Francy – 5/15/2017
Brotha and Francy met in the early hours of a beautiful spring morning to review this bundle of goodness. We absolutely love the atmosphere this quaint little burrito joint has to offer. It’s operated out of a stationary food truck in Golden and offers an incredible burrito that we want to share with the world!
Tortilla
We love this tortilla. You can truly tell that this is a handmade tortilla and thought went into its creation. The tortilla is toasted and flaky yet flexible. It really has incredible flavor and texture in a playful and delightful way. We also have to add, it had folds in all the right places and it never broke on us.

Textures
The contents of bonfires burritos are impeccable. The eggs were fluffy and fresh and the roasted peppers added to the flavor and texture in an amazing way. To add to this there were caramelized onions that added some crunch to the burrito that we believe can’t be overlooked. The contents were well blended and the chorizo chucks were spread out nicely.

Flavors
This burrito had the trifecta of flavor. The eggs, meat, and chilis were perfectly balanced and made for an incredible burrito. Every bite held the goodness of a perfectly roasted chili in it with a wonderful mix of eggs and meat. For our burritos we settled on the 50/50 heat mix and it was perfect.

Use of Potatoes
Bonfire uses hash browns for their potatoes. We love this variation from the norm and that they didn’t over do it and overload the burrito with potatoes. Because the burrito was mixed so well there were no overly large chunks of hash browns which was very nice. The has browns were soft and blended well with the burrito.
