City O’ City

City O’ City

Francy/10-15-2017

While I am not a vegetarian, I can still enjoy a vegetarian Breakfast Burrito. City O’ City is a popular vegetarian restaurant the in Capital Hill area. I decided it would be worth checking out to give it a review and see if it lives up to the hype.

Tortilla

Nothing too fancy on the tortilla side of things. It was a relatively common tortilla with nothing special about it. That being said it was folded well and had no premature breaks.

Textures

The City O’ City menu says the burrito has scrambled eggs, potatoes, pinto beans and cheese with green chile. All of these ingredients played well and complimented each other very well. The pinto beans we a good substitution for what would normally be a meat product. Lastly, I must mention the fluffy eggs which is always a positive.

Flavors

This burrito had good flavors overall but it was definitely missing a few things. I would have enjoyed a few more flavors inside the burrito. One suggestion I would have for City O’ City, is to add some roasted green chilis on the inside. I think this would add a much needed flavor to the burrito.

Use of Potatoes

The potatoes were done well. They were sliced thinly and seasoned very well. These potatoes contributed positively to the burrito.

Smother

While this wasn’t a pork green chili, which is what I normally go for, this green chili was delicious and provided a great flavor to the burrito.
