Devour the 303
Brotha – 11/7/2019
Francie and Brotha temporarily lost their way in life during the Burrito Drought of 2018 – early 2019. Fewer burritos were eaten by them during that period than ever before in recorded burrito history. The few that the boys did try were never reviewed and lost to history. You know, as life goes on, people get married, have children, move for work, etc. so it’s easy to lose sight of their deepest passions. None of these things happened to the boys, but they did realize they were slacking. So in a recent resurgence of BB activity they returned to a place first explored during the drought.
At long last, here’s the scoop on our second go-’round at Devour the 303, a comfy-cool spot near the DU campus which is conveniently walking distance from home.
Tortilla
This is a fine looking plate of food! The tortilla is a warm bundle which balances goey- and-chewy. The green chili seamlessly incorporates into its folds.
Rating: 9/10
Textures
The mix of tender sausage, fluffy eggs and crispy potatoes make every bite a blessing. The chunks of pork in the green chili meat are tender and juicy.
Rating: 10/10
Flavors
This B delivers! The aforementioned sausage (or gyro meat as Francie ordered) is salty and smokey which plays nicely with the well-seasoned eggs and the potatoey potatoes. The garnish of green chili with fresh green onion seals the deal.
Rating: 10/10
Use of Potatoes
Oh so tasteful. Neither too many nor too few; neither burnt nor mushy; neither too chunky nor too loose. Just right.
Rating: 10/10
Impression
Devour the 303 was absolutely worth a repeat visit for their burrito and definitely earns this record-tying score! Not to mention, their other food looked pretty kick-ass too. See Zoe’s “poblano sunrise” review on her website www.zoelovespoblanosunrise-ista.com.
